Liroconite

ID: CC14150
A superb rich specimen of lustrous bright blue to blue-green crystals of classic Liroconite from Wheal Gorland, St. Day, Cornwall. Excellent well-formed characteristic wedge habit crystals of Liroconite measuring to 3mm+ richly line long cavities in a ferruginous Quartz vein matrix. Crystals of Liroconite are also dotted over much of the rest of the specimen. A very fine Liroconite crystal specimen from this classic Cornish location. A specimen that probably came out of the mine in the late 18th century to very early 19th century.
