A pleasing group of thick, squat hexagonal Calcite crystals from the Broken Hill mining district in New South Wales, Australia. Individual crystals are typically over 2 cm between flats and average 1 cm thick. The hexagonal pinacoid faces are an opaque, matt, snowy-white whereas the prism faces are a lustrous, translucent smoky grey. A lovely and unusual Calcite from Broken Hill.
