For the species collector this large thumbnail contains three rare selenide mineral species from the Eagle Claims uranium-copper-selenium (U-Cu-Se) Occurrence in the Beaverlodge Lake area of Saskatchewan, Canada. These are rarely encountered species and so finding all three on one specimen is a real bonus. The minerals are not straight forward to visually differentiate, but in principal the Umangite (copper selenide) forms a dark-red tinted black matrix, which hosts patches of bronze metallic Tyrrellite (copper-cobalt-nickel selenide) and granular black Klockmannite (copper selenide). A great and well-priced specimen of these three rare selenide minerals.
