ID: CC14435
A very well formed and terminated crystal of prismatic golden amber Baryte measuring to 3.6 cm long, sits at forty-five degrees on intensely dark, blackberry purple cubic crystals of Fluorite. From the Zehntausend Ritter mine in Erzgebirge, Germany, the contrast between the Baryte and Fluorite is striking, making this small cabinet specimen stand-out from the crowd. The deep intensity of the Fluorite makes it appear black. Both the Baryte and Fluorite have a waxy lustre, the Baryte being translucent to semi-transparent while the Fluorite is opaque. A terrific specimen from the Zehntausend Ritter mine.
