Mirror-bright silvery Cuprite crystals to about 3-4mm completely coat an elongated, hillocky and vuggy plate of massive Cuprite from the Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. In transmitted or incident light, the part gemmy crystals show their true rich Burgundy red colour. Even in reflected light, many individual crystals, and some clusters of crystals glow a stunning maroon resulting from internal reflections within each prism. An excellent small cabinet display specimen of well crystallised Cuprite from the world famous mine at Tsumeb.
