Imiterite with Native Silver and Cinnabar

ID: CC14607
A large thumbnail sized vuggy Dolomitic matrix hosts many perfectly formed micro-crystals of the rare silver-mercury sulphide Imiterite, from its type locality at Imiter mine at Djebel Saghro, Ouarzazate Province, Morocco.  Embedded in, and protruding from the matrix is a small hackly plate of Native Silver, with the odd speck of red Cinnabar dotted over the matrix surface.
