Germanite with Chalcocite

ID: CC14756

A rich, large miniature-sized ore specimen of Germanite mixed with Chalcocite, together with a polished mount set in a clear acrylic disk, suitable for reflected light ore microscopy studies.  Germanite specimens of this size are uncommon at Tsumeb, making this an excellent display specimen of this rare copper-iron-germanium sulphide.  The specimen is overall dark blackish-grey with mottled iridescent peacock blues and magenta-reds, a characterise of Germanite.  A super addition to any Tsumeb collection requiring this species!
