A 2.0 x 0.5 cm cavity is filled with an intertwined tangle of Native Silver wires in a mixed matrix of black Acanthite, silver Galena and dark grey Sphalerite.  This miniature is from the Santiago Alto mine in Bolivia.  The taller Native Silver wires are tarnished sooty black while those sitting deeper within the cavity remain whitish silver with an occasional rose-gold tinted patina.
