Miguelromeroite with Rhodochrosite

ID: CC14907
Pale salmon-pink crystals, some tinged buff-tan, of the rare species Miguelromeroite line a 20 x 5 mm vug in a hard slate-Quartz matrix from the Veta Negra mine in Atacama, Chile.  Miguelromeroite is a manganese hydrated arsenate and occurs on this specimen with micro lath-like crystals of pinkish-red Rhodochrosite.  The accompanying labels record the manganese-calcium hydrated arsenate Villyaellenite, but EXD analysis has corrected this to Miguelromeroite.
