Argyrodite

ID: CC14910
A small miniature composed entirely of the silver-germanium sulphide Argyrodite from the Santiago Alto mine, Porco, in the Potosí Department of Bolivia.  Some outer surfaces of sooty grey-black Argyrodite surround semi-lustrous metallic black Argyrodite where the ore has fractured following the cryptocrystalline boundaries.  A very rich specimen of this rare germanium mineral.
