A beautiful 8.3 x 2.5 x 1.6 cm transparent Quartz crystal with wispy purple Amethyst zones from the Goboboseb Mountains in the Brandberg Area of Namibia. The crystal stands vertically on a small basalt matrix encrusted with terminated Quartz crystals to 2 cm. The main crystal has a perfect asymmetric Dauphiné habit termination and at about 1 cm above its base, a fluid inclusion with a movable gas bubble. A group of pale green sprays of Prehnite crystals to 7 mm perch on the side of the main Amethyst Quartz making this an exceedingly attractive specimen from the classic Erongo Region.
