A beautiful pair of hexagonal stacked crystals of Hematite form two rosettes slightly angled to one another, butterfly-like. A specimen from Ouro Preto in the Iron Quadrangle of Minas Gerais, Brazil, with bright silver mirror-like faces. The rosettes measure approximately 4 cm and  3 cm respectively and are interjoined. On edge, each crystal plate appears slightly separated due to the chevroned symmetry of each crystal edge, all of which are dusted with fine granular, dusky-red Hematite. A superb “Iron Rose” form of Hematite from Ouro Preto in Brazil.
