Paradamite

ID: CC15429
A choice, large thumbnail specimen of the zinc arsenate hydroxide Paradamite, a very rare species from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia.  A dark fragment of Dolomitic matrix is overgrown by a thick encompassing crust of Paradamite, with a 2.6 x 0.5 cm area of terminated lustrous acid lemon-yellow crystals.  An accompanying label notes analysis and confirmation by Raman spectroscopy.  A superb specimen of this rare Tsumeb species.
