Rosasite is a rare mineral at the Tsumeb mine in Namibia, although is known to occur in the supergene zone and the first and third oxidation zones. This small cabinet specimen of pastel powder blue to turquoise blue Rosasite occurs as micro-acicular crystals covering all sides of the specimen. Areas of olive to leaf green Olivenite crystals and druses of colourless Calcite crystals are scattered over the specimen making it so aesthetic. Just where in the mine this specimen originated is unknown, but such bluish green mamillary crusts and velvety botryoidal Rosasite coatings are characteristically associated with the upper levels between the surface and 100 m depth. A fabulous Rosasite with Olivenite from Tsumeb.
