Wulfenite

ID: CC15498
An off-matrix part crystal of highly lustrous golden-tan Wulfenite, of water-clear transparency despite a few internal flaws. The crystal has been broken off from its original matrix, but part of the broken surface (the diagonal break) has been overgrown with micro-rhombohedral crystals of Dolomite. The two longest edges of the crystal measure 3.3 and 2.8 cm and all the tabular Wulfenite crystals have sharp bevelled edges which tend to appear a deeper golden shade from the body faces.  A striking group of tabular and gemmy Wulfenite crystals from Tsumeb.
