Well crystallised Azurite is one of the iconic minerals from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia and was found down to the 2nd Oxidation Zone.  This stunning thumbnail is mounted on a labelled, small clear acrylic base which beautifully displays the near-equant blocky Azurite crystal perched on a tiny matrix of micro-crystalline creamy Dolomite.  The Azurite is a superb deep inky azure blue with a wonderfully translucent surface which lights up electric blue in transmitted light.  A quite gorgeous Tsumeb Azurite from a famous Tsumeb thumbnail collection.
