Beaverite with Zincolivenite

ID: CC15729
Beaverite, or more precisely, Beaverite-(Cu), is a very rare lead-iron-copper sulphate known to occur at Tsumeb in the outcrop section of the first oxidation zone and at around 1,000 m sub-surface in the second oxidation zone.  The Beaverite forms an earthy lemon crust covering a thumbnail-sized plate of matrix with occasional glassy, copper-rich Adamite (formerly named Cuproadamite) as double-terminated 2 mm long acicular crystals lying flat against the Beaverite.  A good example of this rare Tsumeb species.
