A superb Rosasite pseudomorph after Azurite from the Tsumeb mine in Oshikoto Region, Namibia. The upper levels of the 1st Oxidation Zone are well known for this particular type of pseudomorph, this large thumbnail being a very fine example with perfect, well defined sharp crystals. The Rosasite is a characteristic powder turquoise-peppermint green and mimics the original Azurite crystals with broad pinacoid terminations, striated prism faces and razor-sharp edges. The principle crystal measures 2.0 x 1.3 x 0.7 cm and has many smaller pseudomorphed crystals branching off.
