Rosasite pseudomorph after Azurite with Cerussite

ID: CC16112
The Tsumeb mine in Namibia is noted for its many types of pseudomorphs and this example of Rosasite after Azurite is a wonderful example. The majority of this small cabinet specimen is composed almost entirely of Rosasite with the upper display surface covered with choice, sharp Rosasite pseudomorphed crystals after Azurite, typically between 1.5 to 2.5 cm long and 1 cm wide, which lay flat across the surface.  The Rosasite is a uniform bluish-turquoise-green with a matt powdery appearance.  Towards the edges of the specimen sit small clusters and sprays of colourless to milky-white Cerussite crystals of between 1 to 2 mm in length.  A superb example of Rosasite pseudomorphing after Azurite.
