An opaque,  lustrous and intense cranberry-red hexagonal “Ruby” crystal partly embedded in a small block of greenish-powder-blue tinted granitic pegmatite. The “Ruby” Corundum crystal measures up to 1.7 cm across its perfect and flat termination, which exhibits interlocking triangular growth patterns. An excellent example of “Ruby” from the historic locality of Froland, Aust-Agder, Norway.
