An excellent light sky-blue and purple edged Fluorite from the classic and classical mining district west of the port of Lavrion, Attik√≠ Prefecture (Attica Peninsular), Greece.  Although well crystallised Fluorite does occur in this area, crystals of good colour and clarity are uncommon.  This specimen comprises of sharp-edged cubes, typically 1 to 1.5 cm on edge and up to 2 cm with naturally etched and pitted faces and good translucency.  The crystals are a pleasing, delicate sky-blue which grade to quite deep lilac edges.  The Fluorite crystals are bound by bubbly, opaque botryoidal creamy white Calcite and thin Calcite plates glistening with micro-crystals of lustrous glassy Quartz.
