World locations don’t get more classic than the Lavrion mining district in the Attica Peninsula of southern Greece, where metal mining dates to not just Classical Greece, but also pre-history.  This fine Azurite on Malachite will originate from one of the Kamariza mines, inland from the port of Lavrion.  Inky azure-blue spherical Azurite crystal aggregates, averaging 5 mm diameter, are densely scattered over both sides of a light peppermint velvety coating of Malachite over a layered Calcite and Limonite matrix.  A particularly good Lavrion Azurite which will look good on display.
