Mimetite

ID: CC16727
This nicely priced acidic deep lemon Mimetite is a real bargain at $300, as Mimetite in any form, never mind a well crystallised specimen such as this, is very rarely seen from the Lavrion mines in Greece.  Radial acicular sprays to 5 mm across form spherical clusters, richly grouped and scattered over a deep chocolate-brown and rusty-tan limonitic matrix.  The Mimetite clusters are all perfect, but it is their vibrant intensity of colour which is most striking.  The specimen comes glued to a chamfered clear acrylic base.
