Adamite occurs at most of the Lavrion mines and although specimens were relatively easy to find up until the late 1990s, this beautiful deep citrus apple-green miniature is a particularly good and rich example. Equant triangular Adamite crystals of 1 mm form a drusy undulating carpet over the entire top surface of a pinkish-brick-red Calcite matrix, resulting in a most charming specimen. Occasional small clusters of yellow-tan Calcite crystals overgrow the Adamite as well as sucrosic patches of light cinnamon Calcite. An excellent and rich Adamite from the classic Lavrion mining district.
