Kaolinite ps. after Orthoclase

ID: CC16796
A beautifully crisp and perfectly formed pseudomorph of Kaolinite after an interpenetrant Orthoclase Carlsbad twin.  This specimen, from Melbur China Clay Pit near St Stephen-in-Brannel, Cornwall, is composed of hard and resilient creamy-white Kaolinite.  Although such pseudomorphs are common, examples with this degree of definition are few and far between.
