A very fine specimen of classic Specular Hematite with gemmy well-developed Quartz crystals. Crystals of intergrown Quartz measuring to 2.3cm are seen over the 'back' of the specimen and forming a crescent when viewed from the front. Platy highly lustrous black crystals of Hematite with some colourless Quartz crystals. From the Beckermet Mine, Egremont, Cumbria, England.
