Calcite with Sphalerite and Fluorite

ID: CC16866
A double terminated pale honey-yellow Calcite crystal measuring 3.8 x 1.8 x 1.7 cm, perched on a small plate of matrix coated with Sphalerite on the upper surface and Fluorite on its base.  From the famous Millclose mine, South Darley, close to Matlock in Derbyshire, the primary scalenohedral crystal is translucent to semi-transparent and is an excellent example of Calcite from this locality.
