Lanthanite-(Ce) is a rare cerium-lanthanum-neodymium carbonate whose type locality is the Britannia mine, towards the summit of Snowdon in Gwynedd, Wales, where this specimen is from.  Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales.  Micro-blades of colourless Lanthanite-(Ce) cover a bed of bluish-green Malachite, so making the Lanthanite-(Ce) appear green.  This is an excellent specimen of Lanthanite-(Ce) on Malachite from its type locality on Sneyd’s Level in Britannia mine.
