The botryoidal blister copper variety of Chalcopyrite is frequently associated with the area around Cook’s Kitchen between Redruth and Camborne, but very good specimens also come from the Land’s End area around Levant and Botallack.  This fine example is a solid mass of Chalcopyrite, two thirds covered in dull metallic pisolitic spherules, all of about 3 to 4 mm in diameter, of a dull brassy to dark tan colour.  A terrific miniature of this variety of Chalcopyrite from the Levant mine at Trewellard, near St Just, Cornwall, England.
