Pyromorphite

ID: CC16998
A very fine leaf to lime-green Pyromorphite from the famous mines at Roughton Gill in the Caldbeck Fells of the English Lake District.  The manganese-rich matrix is almost entirely encrusted with Pyromorphite crystals which range between micro and just over 1 cm.  A patch of semi-lustrous botryoidal Psilomelane covers a 5 x 1.5 cm area on the base.  A lovely Pyromorphite from the Caldbeck Fells.
