A superb, off-matrix, thumbnail cluster of steely-silver Chalcocite in the habit of ‘nail head’ crystals. These are composed of segmented horizontal ribs up the prism faces, terminating with a wider ‘nail head’ cap. A classic and excellent example from the Pig Lode intersecting 9 Level in Geevor Mine, Pendeen, St Just, Cornwall.
