An unusual and excellent specimen of Quartz pseudomorphing after Calcite from East Pool mine, between Camborne and Redruth in Cornwall.  The underlying Quartz matrix is covered in intergrown platy opaque Quartz crystals of pink-tinged milky-white, some of which grade to light smoky grey.  The pseudomorphed crystals are sharp and well defined.  An excellent and rare pseudomorph from East Pool mine.
