Aragonite with Quartz and Hematite Var. Specularite

ID: CC17149
An aesthetic and first-rate example of delicately-crystallised Aragonite spheres scattered over a layer of finely crystallised and drusy black “Specularite” Hematite and glassy Quartz crystals.  The Aragonite forms uniform sized, creamy-buff spherical clusters of between 2 to 3 mm diameter and nearly all attractively separated as individuals.  These three species grow on a  gently undulating surface of reddish-chocolate-brown botryoidal Hematite.  A rarely-encountered form of Aragonite from Florence mine, Egremont, Cumbria, England.
