Chalcedony ps. after Fluorite with Quartz epimorph

ID: CC17193
Wheal Mary Ann at Menheniot in Cornwall is renowned for its fabulous Chalcedony pseudomorphing after Fluorite and Quartz epimorphs; this specimen delivers on both! Equant creamy-white pseudomorphs of Chalcedony after octahedral Fluorite to 1.5 cm are richly distributed over the upper face of a white-porcelaneous Chalcedony matrix.  At one side of this face, two Quartz epimorphs after octahedral Fluorite sit among the Chalcedony and comprise of delicate hollow shells formed from micro-crystals of sucrosic Quartz. Great pseudomorphs and epimorphs from Wheal Mary Ann.
