A nice miniature of the rare mineral Barytocalcite with a thin surface coating of matt white Baryte, from the Nentsberry Haggs mine, close to the village of Nenthead on Alston Moor, Cumbria.  The Barytocalcite forms intergrown sheaves to over 1.5 cm and is light tan around the base where not coated in Baryte.  A good representative Barytocalcite from Nentsberry Haggs.
