Baryte (stalactitic section)

ID: CC17399
A charming small miniature of salmon-pink Baryte forming a hollow stalactitic section with a creamy-white outer crust and a surface of micro-tabular opaque-tan Baryte crystals.  This specimen, from Dirtlow Rake to the south and west of Castleton, Derbyshire, England, forms two flattened hollow tubes and will make a great and unusual addition to any Derbyshire collection.  One end is sawn and polished while the opposite end remains natural to display the almost fibrous radial crystalline morphology of the Baryte.
