A large well-formed twinned crystal of Cassiterite measuring overall to nearly 5cm displays a lustrous black colour with thin crystal edges having a translucent rootbeer colour. Crystal faces of the Cassiterite are smooth to deeply striated due to oscillatory growth. A fine large Cassiterite from the Horni Slavkov mining area in the Czech Republic, the specimen comes with an old label.
