Neptunite

ID: CC17559
A pair of superb twinned Neptunite crystals measuring 2 cm sat on a block of greyish-blue and white Natrolite from the Dallas Gem mine in San Benito County, California, USA.  The twinned crystals form an acute-angled cross with perfectly developed, sharp-edged faces and of a dark chocolate brown with a bright glassy lustre. Adjacent to this pair is a single Neptunite crystal of 1 cm in length.  An excellent example of this complex silicate from the famous and classic Dallas Gem mine.
