A stunning and quite spectacular miniature of golden-yellow Mimetite on Dolomite with scattered spherules of emerald green Bayldonite.  This delightful specimen was found on 32 Level in the Tsumeb mine in Namibia.  Thirty-two Level lies within the 2nd Oxidation Zone, which spanned Levels 24 to 35, with the Tsumeb ore pipe being centred on 29 Level.  The Mimetite forms a 2.2 x 0.8 cm (in area) cluster of vividly coloured acicular crystals.  It must be pointed out that two crystals are sheared midway with their terminations missing, but these cannot be seen unless magnified.  The Mimetite rests on a druse of micro-rhombohedral pearly white Dolomite crystals with a silky lustre whose surface is punctuated with 1 mm diameter spheres of the lead-copper arsenate Bayldonite.
