Two well developed Phosgenite crystals sit in a Baryte-lined vug in a solid Galena matrix from Bage mine, Cromford in Derbyshire, England. The crystals measure approximately 6 x 6 x 5 mm and 9 x 7 x 4 mm; both exhibit bright lustrous faces and are semi-transparent when viewed under low magnification. The edges of both crystals are intergrown with micro-bladed Baryte, proving they are in situ and not glued in, as was often the case with such specimens during the Victorian era. A very good example of Phosgenite from the famous Bage mine in Derbyshire.
