Rosasite

ID: CC17927
A large sculptural mass of crystallised Rosasite measuring approximately 4.8 x 2.0 x 1.5 cm lies at a slightly jaunty angle away from the horizontal on top of a light chocolate Limonite matrix speckled with micro-crystals of Malachite. From the famous Ojuela mine at Mapimí, Durango, Mexico, the Rosasite is a fairly uniform rich peppermint-turquoise and is imbedded with many dozen sprays of micro-acicular Malachite to about 1 mm across.  The surface texture of the Rosasite is smooth, almost water-worn in appearance, with a slight velvet patina.  The specimen is glued to a clear acrylic display base.
