Epidote with K Feldspar var. Adularia

ID: CC18016
A sub-parallel cluster of deep limey-bottle-green Epidote crystals, their base glued to a small square, clear acrylic base.  A 1.7 x 0.9 X 0.6 cm group of sharp, rhombohedral Adularia crystals are attached to one side.  The Epidotes are developed up to 3.8 cm tall and the Adularia, a variety of Orthoclase Feldspar, are up to 0.8 cm on edge and tinted bluish-green translucent cream.  An elegant Epidote with Adularia from the ancient copper mining area in and around Knappenwand in the Untersulzbach Valley, roughly 90 km SW of Salzburg in Austria.
