Otavite on Malachite with Cerussite

ID: CC18262
Otavite is an extremely rare cadmium carbonate, first discovered at Tsumeb in 1906 in the outcrop and near surface workings, but is not recorded below the fist oxidation zone.  It occurs in this elongated thumbnail specimen as a silvery-white micro-crystalline patches and rims around a pale peppermint-green Malachite matrix with occasional glassy Cerussite crystals scattered over.
