A spectacular, off-matrix specimen of beautifully crystallised Vivianite from the tin-mining region around Llallagua at Rafael Bustillo in Potosí, Bolivia.  Almost coal-black in reflected light, the Vivianite is a gorgeous electric deep lime-bottle-green in transmitted light.  The crystals, which are developed to 5.0 x 1.6 x 1.0 cm, form grouped clusters in parallel growth, are transparent to translucent and have a brilliant glassy lustre. All crystals are perfectly terminated and the specimen shows no bruising of any kind.  A splendid Vivianite from Llallagua in Bolivia.
