Deep teal-blue 1 to 2 mm crystals of Scorodite cover an area of approximately 4 x 2 cm on an iron-stained matrix of vein Quartz. From Hemerdon mine close to the village of Sparkwell near Plymouth, Devon, a separate 2 x 1.5 cm area is less densely populated with Scorodite but contains larger crystals to about 4 mm in length. A rich specimen of this attractive hydrated iron arsenate.
