Looking at the now abandoned small mine building and dilapidated incline headframe of the ACF mine in the Mibladen mining district of Morocco, no one could ever imagine that such magnificent mineral specimens once came to surface here. The large cabinet specimen of Vanadinite we have from this mine is a stunner, with its sandy-coloured fine-grained matrix encrusted with magnificent cherry-red Vanadinite crystals ranging from 1 mm up to 1.8 cm across. The Vanadinite forms equant stubby prisms whose thickness exceeds 1 cm in the few exceptionally large crystals. All crystals have highly lustrous prism faces and often a similar pinacoid but of slightly differing colour, especially in the larger crystals. This is a wonderful Vanadinite of museum quality from the old underground workings at Mibladen. This specimen comes with a custom made contour-milled acrylic stand.
