Crude, part granular crystals of the silver-copper-antimony sulphosalt Polybasite are scattered throughout a 3.0 x 2.5 cm vug in a Quartz veinstone matrix.  The Polybasite is a metallic dark grey and nestles amongst milky translucent Quartz crystals and biscuit-tan Siderite.
Ex. the Mineral Collection of Archduke Stephan Franz Viktor of Hungary (1817 to 1867), with a historic Archduke (Erzherzog) Stephan label incorporating his coat of arms.  This label measures 7.4 x 4.4 cm and has been trimmed, so losing some of the printed and hand-written text.  It is understood these labels were trimmed by curators at the Museum of Natural History of the Humboldt University in Berlin, to fit within their specimen boxes, after being bequeathed by Carl Rumpff’s widow in late 1889.  A Carl Rumpff label, dated 1889, is attached to the specimen.
