An aesthetic cluster of colourless to milky-translucent Calcite crystals from the St Andreasberg District in Lower Saxony, Germany. The crystals have an acicular habit; stand almost vertically in sub-parallel alignment and measure up to around 3.5 cm tall.
Ex. the Mineral Collection of Archduke Stephan Franz Viktor of Hungary (1817 to 1867), although missing the Archduke (Erzherzog) Stephan label. A label referenced to the Archduke, dated 1887, is attached to the specimen and this specimen came amongst all the other specimen in this update.
