A superb cabinet specimen of pale clove to root beer-brown Pyromorphite micro-crystals covering all faces of the matrix.  The habit of the gossan matrix is an unusual stockwork of naturally etched foliated Quartz which forms vertical parallel ridges, interconnected by a filigree network of Quartz stringers with large void spaces in between.  This is a very good Pyromorphite from the Friedrichssegen mine, Frücht in the Bad Ems District of Germany which exploited Zn-Pb-Cu-Ag veins.
Ex. the Mineral Collection of Archduke Stephan Franz Viktor of Hungary (1817 to 1867), with a historic Archduke (Erzherzog) Stephan label incorporating his coat of arms.  This label measures 9.7 x 8.1 cm and is complete.  The label is numbered 109/1 and a small label bearing this same number is glued beneath the specimen.
