Bright black botryoidal druses of lustrous Goethite coat hidden Smithsonite crystals to 1.4 cm sitting on a massive matrix of cleaved white Calcite. The Goethite forms as a glossy bubbly coating which could be identified as the cobalt hydroxide Heterogenite. This remains a possibility but is presently considered Goethite as the two species are easily confused. This is fine example of Goethite and will make an attractive addition to any collection.
